It's really great to see this come to light after this many years.

When we got into the whole print industry many, many years ago,

one of the things that bothered us was exactly the enviromantal footprint and all the chemistry

and all the dirty stuff that was left behind with regular silver halide technology.

It's so good to see how far the quality of the HP Indigo prints has come

an how we're able to produce a significant number with high productivity.

Costs that are getting more and more competitive as time goes on

비용은 시간이 흐를수록 점점 경쟁력이 높아지며,

and, as you said, a clean impact on the enviroment is exactly what all of us, as citizens of the world, want and need.

Well, quite frankly, we've been doing products that have benefitted the photo industry for probably over a decade

솔직하게 이야기해서, HP INDIGO는 10년 이상을 사진산업에 유용한 제품을 생산해왔습니다.

and 80% of the albums printed today on digital technology will be printed on Indigo.

그리고 오늘날 디지탈기술로 인쇄되는 앨범의 80%가 인디고에서 출력될 것입니다.

Quite frankly until now, the quality, productivity and look and feel of the Indigo prints have not been sufficient to enable 4 X 6.

실제적으로, 현재까지, 품질, 생산성 등의 측면에서 인디고 출력물은 4 X 6 인쇄물에 적합하지 않았었습니다.

Over here, we've been working together and you've been pushing us and fine tuning.

I think we are finally there in terms of the quality, in terms of the productivity

and, as you said, this is not just about the economics.

The fact that silver halide is a problematic technology

현재의 인화지 제조공정에는 여러 문제점이 내포되어 있다는 사실 입니다. 

and behind pretty significant investment in recycling in silver halide;

따라서, 인화지를 제조공정에서의 원재료 재활용에 많은 투자가 따르는 것입니다.

not to mention the paper, the cost of the paper.

이는 종이를 말하는 것이 아니라 종이의 비용을 말하는 것입니다.

I think this is very, very exciting.

제 생각에 는 굉장히, 매우 흥분할 만한 내용입니다.

What made you push in this direction?

무엇이 당신을 본 분야로 관심을 이끌었는지요?

A few years ago when you started out, you were so far away.

몇년전에 시작할 때만 해도, 당신은 본 문제와는 굉장히 많이 떨어져 있었습니다.

What drove this direction from your perspective?

Well, as you know, we've been using HP Indigo technology for many years.

글쎄요. 아시다시피, 저희는 HP Indigo 기술을 오랜동안 사용해왔습니다.

We got into the Indigo game by purchasing a 5000 (HP INDIGO 5000) over five years ago.

HP Indigo 5000을 5년전 쯤에 구매하면서 본 인디고 관련사업에 접어들게 되었지요.

We knew from the beginning that quality was outstanding

처음부터 품질은 매우 좋았고,

and that it was going to be a continuous improvement process to get it to the highest level

더 높은 수준으로 지속적인 개선프로세스가 진행되어 왔습니다.

similar to what silver halide could already produce.

그리고, 인화지로 표현할 수 있는 유사한 수준까지 도달하게 되었지요.

So, for me frankly, it was a pleasure to push you guys

그래서 저는 관계자분들을 독려하게된 것을 기쁘게 생각하며,

and then push with you guys to get something like this to market

그분들과 함께 본 시장에서 뭔가를 얻게되었다고 생각합니다.

because, again, it addresses the cost concerns and the environmental concerns at the same time.

왜냐하면, 다시한번, 비용과 환경적우려를 동시에 해결하는 솔루션이 필요했었기 때문입니다. 

We knew it could be done. It was just a matter of time, effort, technology and all these things.

우리는 그것이 될 수 있다고 생각할 수 있었습니다. 문제는 시간과 노력, 기술 등의 문제였지요.

We knew we had the right partner in HP Indigo.

우리는 HP Indigo에서 올바른 파트너를 얻었다고 생각하며,

We thought it was our responsibility to come to Germany, to go to Israel

그것이 독일로 오게하고, 이스라엘로 저희를 가게 했다고 생각합니다.

and meet in Brazil and say, "So, Alon, when are we going to get this done together?"

I also have to say that this solution includes a laminator from GMP.

Then, beyond the technology and the printing, obviously you need to get to the consumer. You need to market this.

This product has been used to produce covers for photo albums.

본 제품은 표지와 포토북 앨범 생산을 위해서 사용되어 왔습니다.

You've been using it in other ways. You're the first one to take it into a brand new segment, the 4 X 6

마르코씨는 다른 방법으로 사용을 해왔습니다. 당신은 4 X 6라는 놀라운 새로운 분야에 진출한 첫번째 인물입니다.

which is still a big part surprisingly. Most of the images captured today are digital.

대부분의 Image들은 모두 디지탈입니다.

There is still an immense amount of 4 X 6 printing going on.

현재도 엄청난 수량의 4 X 6이 인쇄되고 있습니다. 

So, I think it's an important step forward.
